Ronald Wayne Gilpin Sr., 77, of Bartonville passed away at 1:05 am Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Unity Point Methodist Medical Center.
He was born January 14, 1939 in Peoria, IL the son of Martin and Esther Boyer Gilpin. He married Ruby Gaymon in 1961. He later married Helen Reader on July 4, 1969.
Ronald is survived by his children, Ronald Jr (Tina) Gilpin of Glasford, Diana (Wade) Greenfield of Littleton, CO, and Elizabeth (Jeff) Stout of Rio Medina, TX; four grandchildren, Trent Gilpin, Brian Stout, Hannah Stout, and Stephanie Hernandez; two sisters, Maryette...

Ronald is survived by his children, Ronald Jr (Tina) Gilpin of Glasford, Diana (Wade) Greenfield of Littleton, CO, and Elizabeth (Jeff) Stout of Rio Medina, TX; four grandchildren, Trent Gilpin, Brian Stout, Hannah Stout, and Stephanie Hernandez; two sisters, Maryette (Gene) Gold and Marylee (Dave) Zook both of Bartonville.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Ronald worked as a maintenance supervisor at Keystone Steel and Wire Co until his retirement. He was an Air Force Veteran.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 979 and the NRA.
Ron dearly loved his children and grandchildren and had a deep passion for the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman with his family. He will be dearly missed.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A memorial service will be held at 7pm Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Pastor Jack Thompson will officiate. Visitation will be two hours prior to services.
