Larry L. Kelly, 78, of Bartonville, Illinois, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017 at his residence. He was born on August 14, 1938 in Peoria, Illinois to Merton and Leatha (Northrup) Kelly Vegich. He married Rosemarie Murphy on June 24,1962 in Peoria, Illinois. She preceded him in death on July 3, 2016 in Bartonville. He was also preceded in death by one step-sister.

He is survived by three daughters, Rhonda (Ron) Smith of Orlando, Florida, Pam (Kelvin) McCasky of Washington, Illinois and Danelle (Tom) Geraci of Bartonville, Illinois; five grandchildren, Tyson (Melanie) Smith,...

Larry L. Kelly, 78, of Bartonville, Illinois, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017 at his residence. He was born on August 14, 1938 in Peoria, Illinois to Merton and Leatha (Northrup) Kelly Vegich. He married Rosemarie Murphy on June 24,1962 in Peoria, Illinois. She preceded him in death on July 3, 2016 in Bartonville. He was also preceded in death by one step-sister.

He is survived by three daughters, Rhonda (Ron) Smith of Orlando, Florida, Pam (Kelvin) McCasky of Washington, Illinois and Danelle (Tom) Geraci of Bartonville, Illinois; five grandchildren, Tyson (Melanie) Smith, Tiffany (Ryan) Parkin, Cassie McCasky, T.J. and Mic Geraci; five great grandchildren, Zoey "Ladeebug" McCasky, Tyson and Taylor Smith, Trissity, Tressley and Trinity Parkin; one step-sister, Vickie (Scot) Crosson.

Larry worked 41 years as a crane operator at Keystone Steel and Wire Company, he retired in 2001. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Larry was a member of the Joseph Robbins Masonic Lodge #930 A.F. & A.M., Past Worshipful Master of the Verlin Showalter Masonic Lodge #1172 A.F. & A. M., Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of Peoria, Mohammed Temple Shrine, Eastern Star and Associate Bethel Guardian of the Bartonville Jobs Daughters Bethel # 114.

He loved fishing and hunting. Larry was a tall and big man with a very compassionate heart, always thinking of others.

Funeral services will be at 10 am Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Davison Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Wednesday at the funeral chapel.

Burial will be in the Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria with military honors. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
