Glenn Baumann, 89, passed away at 11:05 AM on Wednesday, November 23, 2016. He was born in Oberlin, Ohio on April 17, 1927. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Christina Baumann. He is survived by his wife Edna, one daughter Jennifer (Scott) Menzdorf, one sister Mildred Carlson, a niece Mary Jane Flier, a nephew Gary Carlson, 3 Step-Children and 8 Step-Grandchildren.

Glenn worked as a CPA at his own firm, Baumann and Associates in Bartonville, IL. Upon his retirement he moved to his favorite place, Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Glenn worked as a CPA at his own firm, Baumann and Associates in Bartonville, IL. Upon his retirement he moved to his favorite place, Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Glen was a strong supporter of the Boys Club of Peoria, a past member of the Lions Club, the Ivy Club of Peoria, the Optimist Club, and a past Board Member of the Bartonville Bank. He was a member and Board Member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bartonville and a member of St. Judes by the Sea Lutheran Church in Gulf Shores.

Glenn loved to watch the dolphins at sunset from his deck overlooking the canal. He was a smart businessman with an adventurous spirit. He was loved by his family and a mentor to many. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bartonville. Rev. Michael Jones will officiate. A visitation will be held two hours prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
